Art & Industry Exhibit at YorkArts

I just got word that I have been accepted to participate in the ART & INDUSTRY exhibit at Yorkarts in York, Pennsylvania. I am partnering with Adhesives Resarch a company based near York, Pennsylvania. Pictured here is a sculpture similar to those that will be in an installation for this exhibit. It was created using scrap tape from Adhesives Research. This show will be exhibited in October,2008. But it is always good to plan ahead. Heading up to York on the 8th to discuss my plans with the committee. I can't wait.

ALL THAT REMAINS is a Baltimore City Paper top 10 show!

ALL THAT REMAINS,a show I was in this fall at the Whole Gallery in Baltimore, has been named a top 10 show by the Baltimore City Paper. Congrats to Emily C-D who worked really hard to get this show to happen. Not to mention A LOT of schleping artwork up and down and out (including mine!) This couldn't happen to a nicer person. Thanks Emily!

Here is a new piece I have been working on in the studio. It is called "Ante-up" It is a handwoven wallhanging created using plastic poker chips, rayon twine, and cotton fabric. I am in production mode for the co/modify show at the Brentwood Arts Center show in February/March 2008. I plan to have 10 new vessels and 10 new wallhangings for the show.
