Today I started work on my Transformer Cabinet Mural for the City of Fort Collins Art in Public Places Program. My design uses a map of waterways around Fort Collins as a basis of a painting emphasizing the importance of water in the West. Here is a before and after shot of today's progress.

I will be a presenting Artist at the Creative Garden section of New West Fest in Fort Collins this weekend. The Creative Garden is a new aspect of New West Fest. This space was devised by the clever folks at Beet Street to give festival goers a shady place to hang out and meet artisans working on different pieces of work. I will be there Saturday and Sunday (August 21 & 22) from 3:00-4:00 working on my zipper baskets. Stop by and say "Hi". Here is the official description of the Creative Gardens Concept.
"Under beautiful shade sails, amidst cooling plants, you’ll be soothed by the melodies at the Bohemian Nights Acoustic Stage while enjoying gourmet food, craft beers and wine and spirits. Local actors, dancers, musicians and artists will perform short, free family friendly performances in a comfortable, garden setting. You’ll enjoy an oasis for creative expression within the hustle of the festival."
