Last First Friday

October 1st, 2010 will be my last First Friday at FC MOCA. I have met so many great people in my time at this studio. Especially during the First Friday Gallery Walk. I will miss the excited and inspiring comments the people of Fort Collins gave me. Come by for my last first from 6:00-9:00 FCMOCA 201 College Avenue, Fort Collins, CO. See you there!

Keg Cap Dress!

Well, as some of you may know, Tour de Fat, the annual
New Belgium Beer bike festival was in Fort Collins last week. In preparation for the event, I created a dress for myself out of keg caps. I worked on this dress during my stints at
Streetmosphere, an awesome program put on by our local Arts Organization, Beet Street. Essentially they ask artists of all kinds to come out and do their stuff on the streets of Fort Collins. A good thing...in so many ways. So, anyway, I promised people I would post a picture of my dress once it was done, so here it is folks!! Streetmosphere continues until October. See you around town!

Shambala Community Center Project

I was invited by the fine folks at the Shambala Community Center to help them create a Community Arts project to help the center create its vision for the next five years. We created mandalas that had strips of paper in which the participants wrote their inner and outer aspirations for the center. The Center will use these ideas and aspirations to help form their mission for the next five years. Here are some pictures of the process and the finished mandalas strung together in a communal form. Big thanks to the Shambala Community Center for this opportunity.
