NEW COMMUNITY ART PROJECT!


Please participate in my latest Community Arts Project. You can find information at the blog for the project here udraw. This project is part of an exhibit I have been invited to participate in called "OBJECT NO OBJECT. I am collecting doodles, scribbles and drawings from EVERYONE. Here is how to participate: Draw a simple picture using an ink pen. Then send a jpeg of your drawing to ddrawu@gmail.com along with the place you did the drawing and your name. Check back at the blog to see your work and the work of others throughout the country (maybe even the WORLD!)

ECO ART MARKET at The Smokebrush Gallery

















The Smokebrush Gallery in Colorado Springs will be featuring four of my zipper sculptures in their annual Eco Art Market. The opening will be November 5th from 5-8pm. I am going to try to be there. The openings that Holly and crew put on sound like a really great time!

CHOKING HAZARD at ART MATTERS GALLERY


This piece, CHOKING HAZARD (plastic game pieces, cotton thread and cotton fabric woven on a cotton warp) has been accepted in the FIBER ART exhibit at Art Matters Gallery in Salida, Colorado. The show will be up from November 3, 2010, to December 30, 2010, Noon to 4pm Sun &Tues; 11am to 5:00pm Wed, Thur, Fri & Sat, Closed Mondays. There will be an opening reception: Saturday, November 13, 2010, from 3:00 to 6:00pm. Salida is a glorious town! It is a great excuse to do a road trip!

Girl SCOUT TRANSFORMER CABINET PROGRESS

I have a great bunch of Girls in my Girl Scout Troop. They are all very creative and driven to paint these cabinets. We have been in the process of public arts for several months. The designs had to be approved, the proposal had to be submitted. Now is the fun part! Check it out!
