This piece was created by crocheted ties. It measures 12"x8"x4". The ties were a collection of my Grandfathers' ties from a variety of decades. It was featured in the "Folk Art-Traditions and Innovations" show at Harmony Hall, Oxon Hill, Maryland. I won the Juror's choice award from Dr.Leslie King-Hammond and the MCNPPC solo show award during this show.

Hello - I have just discovered your work on flickr - and I love what you are doing. Each piece is so full of its own life - partly the recycled materials but mostly your vision - they are wonderful.
