Here are some photos of my current Residency at Long Branch Elementary School in Arlington, Virginia. I am working with the 5th Grade classes to create a woven mural on a fence in their Playground Area. Students have broken into groups of 4 to create a 'proposal' for their mural. It is great to talk about art in a community context with kids. They really get it and ask questions about stablility and appropriateness that make a lot of sense. I am looking forward to tomorrow, when we will pick the winning designs.
