Here is an update on the progress of the paper sculptures at Lucy Barnesley Elementary. Through a grant from the Maryland State Arts Council Artists in Education Program I worked with 4th and 5th graders on paper sculptures. Since I was last there in January, their fantasic teacher, Lara Nuterangelo has worked with them on painting and adding acrylic polymer to make them pop! Now, we have the task of creating structures to house them and hang them on the wall in the Library. We spent all day working on a solution, and I think we found one.
