Crossing the Mighty Mississippi

Here we are crossing the Mississippi. My Dad, who travels West fromNorth Carolina yearly mentioned the change in density of people once you cross the Mississippi. I have to agree,it is strange to be the only car on the highway after living so long in DC, where, no matter what time of day (or night) there are always quite a few cars.
