Masks at MOCA has been a exhibit at the Fort Collins Museum of Contemporary Art for several years now. The Museum asks artists to submit a mask of their own design to auction off as a fundraiser for the museum. This photo is a picture of a Mask submitted by Christa Reid for a previous exhibit.
As a studio artists at FC MOCA, I felt a need to help raise funds for this incredible building (an old post office that has been lovingly restored and repurposed into an art gallery and studio space)
I just received word that I am one of the 150 artists who has been selected to participate in this exciting event! The show and silent auction will take place at MOCA from April 1- May 8, 2010. I will be working on the piece this fall. Stay Tuned!
