St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Fort Collins, CO just Installed their new Rector, Rev. Bonnie Sarah Spencer. For the service, I worked with the congregation to create Prayer Flags, in the tradition on the Tibetan Prayer Flag idea. I created a block print with the design for the ceremony, then printed about 200 flags using recycled fabric in the color scheme of the ceremony. I sewed a fabric strip on each and then asked every member of the congregation to write a wish, hope, dream, or prayer for Bonnie and/or St. Paul's on each flag. The installation turned out very nice. I have done this project several times before, but this one is the most successful yet! Congrats to Bonnie and Katherine!
